Meet Dr. Trevor Mains

I have always thought that the human body has a truly amazing ability to heal itself. Through specific chiropractic adjustments, chiropractors help patients to regain the health that we have all grown to take for granted.

The Car Accident That Changed My Life

Dr. Trevor Mains

At 18 years of age, I began suffering from debilitating headaches as a result of a serious car accident. I suffered from these headaches for years, trying various remedies and seeing minimal results.

Finally, out of desperation, I decided to give chiropractic a try. I was a bit of a skeptic, but I figured I had nothing to lose. It turned out to be a life-changing decision. Not only did chiropractic help me find relief from my headaches, but I found my calling as a health care professional.

Finding My Purpose

From the time I was a young boy, I knew I wanted to serve my community in a health care field. My mother worked as an emergency room nurse, and the idea of helping people resonated with me from a very young age.

As it turns out, the car accident was the best thing that could have happened to me, as it introduced me to chiropractic. My results were so dramatic that I knew I wanted to help others achieve similar results.

My passion has continued to evolve. I see chiropractic as my purpose in life, second only to my family and friends. I don’t view chiropractic as a job, as simply a way to make a living. I love coming to the office each day and interacting with patients. I genuinely look forward to it!

Discovering a Gratifying Career

I spent my childhood in White Rock and graduated as valedictorian from Semiahmoo Secondary School in 1989. I attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I then completed my chiropractic studies at Western States Chiropractic College (now the University of Western States) in Portland, Oregon in December 1999.

Studying chiropractic was the greatest educational challenge I have ever experienced. All of the hard work and dedication required to become a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) has rewarded me with the most gratifying career I could have imagined.

Engaging in Healthy Habits

My whole family receives regular chiropractic adjustments – not because we are in pain, but simply to keep us healthy. In fact, each of my daughters received their first adjustment when they were only a few hours old. We eat organic food – free from harmful chemicals and preservatives. We exercise regularly. We spend as much time as we can with friends and family. Our goal is simple – to live an active, healthy life.

This wellness philosophy is reflected in the design of our clinic. We strive to be as eco-friendly as possible, using as many sustainable and reclaimed items as possible throughout the office. We have antique furniture, reclaimed wood and eco-flooring. Each of our recycled chairs is made from 111 plastic soda bottles!

Loving Life in South Surrey

I am married to Janine, my high school sweetheart. When I completed chiropractic school, Janine and I moved to England where we owned a chiropractic practice and began to grow our family. We have two daughters, Sophie and Tessa. In 2011, after 11 years abroad, we returned to South Surrey to open Restoration Chiropractic and raise our daughters here at home.

Thank you for visiting our site. I hope that it conveys my honest sense of purpose and that it can be a source of hope and inspiration. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
